POEM by Matt: Jumper

To almost fly
To almost get high enough
But sigh, I won't be able to stay up there
And close enough isn't good enough
Maybe settling with this burst of aerial is fine
But I won't settle
There's nothing I can't achieve in love or success
And to fly means to residually accomplish
So babe, grab my hand
And let's leap in hopes to never touch the Earth again

POEM by Matt: Weather

The weather, like feelings of the heart
Sunny in happiness and grey when we part
Though what is thunder when comparing rain and sadness?
Could it be a tear?
Or a warning for more fear to come?
And if so, then what is winter?
For some find it as pleasant as a sunny day
Or as uncomfortable as that thundery tear
I am full of seasons, of smiles and frowns and that occasional monstrosity I call laughter
And though it may hurt at times, I know that seasons change
And in life, it's not about the weather outside...
It's about your inner sunlight
