  1. nice poetry and a great project. too bad that the homeless voice itself is basically a scam created to enrich one man - and it does its job well. he has expanded it into multiple counties. meanwhile, the poor homeless who "work the bucket" by standing out in the hot sun get astonishingly little of the proceeds and are forced to sleep in horrid conditions at night. bedbugs, thefts, and violence are the norm. it is basically a last option for the vast majority of them. i have spoken to many of these people (mostly men with substance abuse problems) and they despise this man and the conditions they are forced to cope with; unfortunately, most have 'No Choice But Do The Voice.'

  2. curiously, the homeless voice newspaper or foldout - whatever - appears to no longer be in existence. you never see the homeless actually handing out papers in exchange for donations anymore. now they just beg for their money. guess the owner of the scam felt that printing a couple of pages was an unnecessary luxury that his lavish lifestyle couldn't afford.
