I hope you all had a wonderful time celebrating the holidays during the past couple of weeks! You were all such a big help to HHF's efforts in 2011... thanks to you, we were able to raise more than 2.3 million dollars that will all be used to build new schools around the world. Also, I would like to invite you to be a part of HHF's Bring Happiness Back! Campaign 2012 Team! The purpose of this team mirrors that of the HHF mission... to raise funds and awareness that benefit schools that we build in areas that have been impacted by natural disasters. Through introducing each of our communities to HHF's mission via smaller fundraising events, we can restore a sense of hope to children who have been forgotten since their schools were destroyed as a result of natural disasters. Schools and groups that participate in the program also have the option of accessing the disaster preparedness training and response lessons that have been assembled in HHF's new initiative - SchoolsConnect.
If you are interested in joining the team, I would like to ask each of you to consider "hosting" a Bring Happiness Back! event in 2012. Together, the HHF staff team and volunteers will work with you to determine the fundraising initiative that fits your vision and iron out the details to make it a reality. The sky is the limit - so dream big! As "host" of the event, we ask that you help to determine the date and location for the event and promote it in your circle of friends. In addition, events will also be promoted among the HHF volunteer team, social media connections, and in the HHF monthly newsletter. As host, you also have the option of choosing which of the HHF schools that you would like to see benefit from the event. HHF is actively involved in building schools in Japan, Haiti, Peru, Mexico, Chile, Thailand, and Indonesia. Schools and groups that participate in HHF's SchoolsConnect program also have the option to directing connect the students that they lead with the students that receive the contribution.
